Jennea Frischke's Profile
My name is Jennea Frischke, and I am a jewellery artist residing in Calgary, Alberta.
I started off as a ceramics major, and then transferred to the jewellery and metals program at the Alberta College of Art And Design in Calgary. I graduated with my BFA in Jewellery and Metals in 2006. I started making jewellery at a very young age, selling friendship bracelets at Farmers Markets. My jewellery tastes and skills have matured since then (although I still have an appreciation of the friendship bracelet). I have recently been awarded with the Alberta Craft Council's Award of Achievement for an up and coming craft artist. http://www.albertacraft.ab.ca/pages/splshpages/awards/2011/frischke.htm
All of my jewellery is lovingly handmade by myself, using as many handcrafted components as possible. I dye my aluminum myself, and many aluminum pieces have also been sandblasted…
