Jennifer Ray's Profile

About

I have always loved jewelry, I think more than girls normally do. I always wore my grandma's jewelry even if it was to big for me. I just liked to sit and admire it and try it on hoping for one day when it would fit. I could not wait to get my ears pierced I begged and pleaded until my grandma said if you pass the 3rd grade then you can. I was never a bad student so this was way easy to do and I couldn't wait to get them done. At the time very few girls had pierced ears at the age of 9/10 yet I had wanted them done so badly so that I could wear all of the earrings that I saw for sale. From then on I grew my collection of jewelry even larger, I still have most of my 1st jewelry that I got while growing up. From then on I grew my collection of jewelry even larger, I still have most of my 1st jewelry that I got while growing up. Once I got a job most of my money went towards saving and collecting more earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets etc. Fast forward several years and that is when I discovered that you can have a successful career as a jewelry designer and creator.

From that moment on I started learning as much as I could to pursue this ultimate dream of creating and selling my very own created jewelry line. I have completed and am currently enrolled in several of the Distant Education programs offered via G.I.A. (www.gia.edu). As well as taking a local course in Goldsmith, so that I have hands on knowledge on how to work precious metals.
