Artistic expression is so valuable and precious to me, without it the world would feel like such dull place. Beauty feeds my soul. Finding expression for it is like breathing between bites.

When I encounter art that I identify with it draws me out of the hum drum of every day life and calls to something deep inside. When I purchase original fine art it's because it reminds me of the people and places I love. Often times it whispers: "you are beautiful" ... "There is hope"... "don't loose sight of your dreams"... "you are not alone."

Likewise when you decorate with a painting that is meaningful to you, it allows you to participate in the creative process. As it hangs in your home, it becomes apart of your story.
I believe everyone should have the opportunity to own art that they love.

Enjoy! - Jessica O

•◦BEHIND THE ART◦•

My artistic style can best be described as a combination of spontaneous expressionism and imaginative realism. My creative process typically begins with an idea that I'll sketch out, finding visual aids for reference. On canvas, the process can be rather experimental as I use washes to explore color and texture. I find this adds a luminescent quality to my artwork and a visual depth to my acrylic paintings and mixed media pieces. With a background in murals and scenic backdrops for Disney under Mural Makers I've found that working on larger canvases comes naturally. I think painting live in front of an audience is an extension of my love for stage and sharing my experiences with others.

I'm continually fascinated with the human experience as we simultaneously exist on a spiritual and natural plane. As we discover our unique purpose, it adds meaning to our daily struggle and motivates our journey to become better people as we grow together in community. Themes of the divine unconditional love, forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, truth, and beauty are all common threads in my works. I work to create pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and inspiring. I create images that remind us that there is a bigger picture beyond the one we see.

P.S. If you have any questions or would like a custom order feel free to send me a convo - I love making new friends. - Jessica
