Some of my earliest memories are of walking the beaches of Puget Sound with my mother and sister; tickling the anemones in tide pools and learning about beach glass. My mother taught us to throw the pieces back that weren't yet perfectly polished - early lessons in patience, sharing, and abundance.
Most of my designs are worked in bronze because its ancient rustic look is the perfect match to the tumbled shapes and textures of the glass. I treat each piece of sea glass as a unique gemstone - creating designs and settings to show it off as the rare creation of humans and nature that it is.
When I'm not making jewelry I'm a photographer - check that out at http://julietchase.etsy.com
