Joyce Fries-Brune's Profile

About

I decided when I was 11 that I would become an artist. It was great. I realized right away this is something that I can do well.
I am a licensed architect in Maryland and Minnesota. My Bachelor's degree is from North Dakota State University where, in addition to the architectural curriculum, I learned how to paint with wax (encaustics). I have been drawing, seemingly, forever and have dabbled with watercolor, oil and acrylic on occasion. Pure beeswax on plywood is my preferred painting media. Conte' crayon and pastels are my preferred drawing media. I hope my work brings smiles and inspiration to you and that you will make my work a treasured addition to you collection.
