Our History:

"We don’t do, we just are",” Words that inspired a teenage Klub Kid, Jinxy’s aspirations to create a recycled art, non gender specific clothing and accessory line in order to serve the needs of the eclectic and fashionably creative.

In 2007, that dream became a reality after a Roller Derby modeled fashion show allowed her altered costume looks to create a “runway” for the Jinxedaposed label.

“Klub Kid Daze”
At the age of 12, Jinxy attended her first rave with her older cousin, Paul. From the moment her platform shoes hit the dancefloor she was hooked. “I was in love with the lifestyle, everyone was dressed so magical and creative. It was taboo to come dressed in average club wear or the same outfit twice. If you came to the party, your outfit had to mean something.”

Jinxy is determined to include that way of thinking to include that way of thinking with each collection she produces.

“Unlikely beginnings”
Trying to throw an event that would produce funds for Jinxy’s roller derby jeerleading squad, she collaborated with a local lingerie provider. When the provider suddenly had to drop out, Jinxy was left to produce twelve outfits in two weeks. In two weeks, Jinxy transformed twelve lingerie and handmade
costumes into twelve individual and creative looks that the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls sported excellently down the runway. The show was a success, made a good amount of money and sold a few of the altered outfits that night.

Jinxy became aware that a hobby she once enjoyed turned into her dream profession that was thought to be forgotten a long time ago.

“Enter Partner”
It was a chill night in February and Coby Simcoe was with his cousin, Naomi’s for her 25th birthday party. His cousin had been dabbling in the Austin modeling scene and was really excited to introduce him to a designer she knew of. The night was amazing, there was music, dancing and good times and toward the end of
the night, as things were winding down, she introduced him to Jinxy.

They immediately clicked and became instant friends.
The following day, Jinxy invited Coby to attend a showcase in Houston. Coby fell in love and dreamed of becoming a part of the company. At the time, Jinxy needed an assistant and Coby inquired about the position. Coby can say that with the help of her cousin
Naomi, he became a major part of Jinxedaposed.
