About

For as long as I can remember I enjoyed making things, and this started with a fascination and love with paper when I was 4 years old. My beloved Abuelita Irene would give me small stacks of colored and textured paper from a box that was hidden in the corner in her game closet. Oh, it was like a buried treasure for me. I loved just holding and feeling the paper with my fingertips. When I was 7 years old I made a 3 dimensional paper house out of some of that paper. It had a swinging door, cut out windows and a happy family drawn on the inside walls. It was glued on a piece of cardboard and when I came to show my mom what I had made she was so impressed she encouraged me to take it to school and show my 2nd grade teacher. I was so proud of my little paper house and my teacher Mr. Global made such a big fuss about it.

My mom showed me how to use her sewing machine when I was 9 years old and it was non-stop sewing from there. By ten I was making myself clothing and by 15 I was making prom dresses for others. Although, I had always sewn items and made cards it's only until now that the artist in me wanted to come out. For a very long time I have struggled to give myself permission to create art pieces and only until now am I listening to the Lord, and am ready to unleash that inner desire and need to create, that He has placed within me from the beginning.

This awakening started to unfold in January of 2009. It was then that I purchased a magazine called Where Women Create. The first few months of the year I would read the magazine and artists profiles over and over with such a deep admiration for all the featured artists. It was there that I discovered the website "Earth Angel Toys" and later on the show "Glitterfest". I attended my very first "Glitterfest" in March 2010 and when I walked out of there I was on cloud nine. I was so overjoyed with the creative self expressions and in awe of everything my eyes came across. I knew then that one day I too would make art and offer it for the world to see.

So here I go…..on my magical adventure to create things that I love and share them with the world. I thank God for His patience, love and never giving up on me. Looking back at my life I realize now that I was created by the Master Creator to create and it has taken me this long to finally listen to Him and finally “get it”.

My new journey is to make pieces out of things that call to me…..to discover new mediums and objects…..to allow myself to explore my imagination and to discover my God given potential. This magical adventure has had the loving support from my two girls and my high school sweetheart and now husband John. I am forever grateful.

God Bless you with much... Joy, Love & Laughter!
