About

In 2009, one month after our 1st wedding anniversary and 5 months after our son was born, I learned my husband had cancer. He was in and out of hospitals and doctors offices and often needed quiet time.

My mom taught me how to crochet during that time and it was the perfect thing for me to keep myself busy without disturbing my husband, and it was portable so I could take it with me to the long trips to the specialist in Chicago and back.

This craft was something to keep me focused and busy, and has now turned into something I truly love and enjoy doing.

Now, after my husband is doing much better, we find ourselves going through a foreclosure. I would like to be sad about this but I truthfully feel this is a fresh start for our little family.

My Etsy shop has now evolved from a hobby to an additional way to help support my family. While myself and my husband both work full time, I will continue to make and sell items to help us supplement our income and hopefully fix up the old farm house we'll be leasing after losing our home.

Etsy is a win-win. You find something adorable for yourself or to give as a gift, and I make a few extra bucks to help my family. AND, everything at my shop is handmade, high quality, made with love and is one of a kind. You just can't go wrong with that!
