Jodi Green's Profile

About

I'm a printmaker and art educator living and working in Windsor, Ontario. I own and operate Levigator Press, a printmaking studio and art gallery that offers letterpress, screenprinting, and bookbinding services as well as classes in printmaking, drawing, bookbinding, and fibre arts. Levigator Press opened on March 14, 2015.

Much of my own studio practice revolves around labour, the value of labour and the rituals of factory life. My prints and drawings of apron-like dresses grew out of my MFA thesis, The Wardrobe Project, a year-long performance wherein I created a series of uniforms and wore them daily, altering them by printing on them each time they were worn. You can read more about that project here: http://www.jodigreen.ca/mfa/
