About

I am a metalsmith artist who resides in Calgary Alberta, Canada. From a young age I have been interested in the arts and have steadily been creating, building, and designing throughout my life. I create artwork that reflects my love of strong form and clean lines. I have studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary Alberta where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I also studied in Dundee Scotland at the Duncan of Jordanstone University and in Glasgow Scotland at the Macintosh School of Art. I often play with the weight of my jewellery, from pieces of extreme weight, to my hollow wear line that appears heavy but is weightless. The jewellery I design is on a larger scale yet all of my work is created to accommodate the body, making it very comfortable for the wearer. I create smooth forms that often embrace hand carved stones.
Since graduating from Alberta College of Art and Design in 2000 I have maintained a studio practice where I make wearable art, pillboxes and objects that reflect my love of metal.
