I am an Ohio native of Irish descent, and an Information Technology professional by trade. In the late 90's, I began sculpting as a welcomed departure from the digital abstraction of my day job. Working by hand, and giving form to formless things was rewarding on many levels, I found. I also discovered that what was lacking in technique and training, could often be made up for in patience.... waiting calmly for that moment when a lump of clay ceased to be a lump of clay.

Imagination always starts the process, but is soon relegated to the role of a ship's rudder. I never know exactly where the current will take things, but that's part of the adventure…

The past few years, I have begun to learn how to cast one sculpture from another. And at long last, I can keep these creations that I love, and share them as well.
