John McCoy's Profile

About

I started making pots when I was seventeen years old. I made my first potter's wheel out of wood, and worked in my parents's garage. I was lucky to be able to turn my passion into a career. After 36 years of teaching ceramics to university students, I retired and set up a studio at home. Every piece you see in my shop is made by me. I work on the design, throw the pot, fire it, glaze it, fire it again. I hope my attention to detail and craftsmanship shows in every piece.
