About

Hand hammer forming of metal is an ancient craft. More sensible people now use air hammers and machines, but no one has ever claimed I am sensible. All my bowls are hand hammered from flat sheet copper or pewter to full bowlyness, then I use punches and smaller hammers to raise the designs. I guess the most technical thing I use is a propane torch to get copper soft before working it, pewter just melts if you heat it though. Cornwall, UK
