Joy Cain's Profile

About

I began my passion for fibers at a young age visiting a historical farm on a school field trip. I had to be dragged from the barn with all the fluffy mounds of blue wool ready for carding and spinning. Since then, I have been fascinated by the process of fluff becoming yarn and the magic of pattern developing under the weaver’s hands. I love the way color interacts with fiber and I am continually inspired by surprises in the dye pots.

When not working as a graphic designer and web developer, I spin, weave and dye and study archaeological textiles.
