I was born and raised in SoCal by an amazing, entrepreneurial single mom who kicks ass. I am a tall, tattooed, tea-addicted professional artist and entrepreneur who is happily engaged to her best friend. I consider myself lucky to have been self-employed most of my adult life, but I also work harder at it than I would for any employer I could ever have.

Besides my family and art (duh) I love blogging, modern+minimal design, documentaries, empowering other artists and makers, my rainy little (adopted) hometown city of Portland, OR, my bunny Lucy, and Instagram (find me there @joyfulstudio).

I've moved all of my abstract paintings to julietillman.com -- choosing to focus on my digital, minimal art here on Etsy. In my paintings I love to mix medias so that the process of making becomes half art and half science project. I love making art that people proudly display in their homes, and I have collectors and patrons all over the world. (So far: USA, Canada, Australia, Philippines, Sweden, The Netherlands, and The UK.)

Two of my big dreams include living abroad (for at least 1-5 years) and having a French Bulldog.

If you have any questions, please contact me! I'm a real person and I will definitely reply. I've been selling my art (and the occasional estate sale find) online, and locally, since the early 2000s.

P.S. Etsy wants me to tell you:
I have a vintage shop with my fiance: http://reversechronology.etsy.com
And I also make art for entrepreneurs: http://helloimhandmade.etsy.com
