Junebug Knits was established in 1989 but I was knitting for many years before that. I got my start in 1969 when I sold my first sweater in a department store in Ketchikan, Alaska. Since then I have knit for many purposes - some commercial and some volunteer. I like to create unique one of a kind items so your purchase will be more special than something mass produced. I design many of the items I create. Some of them have appeared in “Creative Knitting,” “Woman’s Day Quick and Easy Knitting.” I also design sweaters for Coats and Clark. My latest sweater design appears in the book "Luxury Yarn One Skein Wonders" which was released in October, 2008.
On a personal note, I cared for my handicapped son Clint for 30 years. He battled brain tumors for 28 years and went “home” to be with Jesus December 3, 2004. I’ve spent the time since then finding my way through the next season of my life…
