Catherine J. Taylor's Profile

About

Thank you for stopping by my Etsy shop Jewelry Taylor Made! I hope you enjoy my one-of-a kind, hand-sewn bead embroidery jewelry. I love all things beady! If you have any questions, please let me know.
My name is Catherine. I reside with my spouse in Fort Laramie, WY. We have five grown children, ten granddaughters, and one grandson. We split our time between Wyoming, Kansas City, and Colorado. We used to spend our summers in the Pacific Northwest as we love the sea. Some of my designs will depict my love for the ocean, sea life, and nature.
In 2005, I started teaching myself to bead as I could find solace when creating beadwork. Subsequently, I converted a storage room into my art studio. Beading started with simple stringing, then bead weaving, and finally bead embroidery. The latter two being my greatest passions!

My pieces of wearable art can take weeks or even months to complete depending upon how intricate and size. Sometimes the designs are in my mind's eye, or on paper, while other designs just happen during the creation process. My bead work will consist of many different types of beads such as seed beads, bugle beads, cube beads, and triangle beads. Adorned with focal cabochons, pearls, crystals, and rhinestones. I back my bead embroidery jewelry with either ultra-suede or leather which provides comfort while wearing. I work with only top-quality materials. And I use a synthetic base and thread so my pieces will last many years beyond myself. Extremely well-made and most likely will be passed down from generation to generation. These are the heirlooms of tomorrow!
My joy's in life are family (playing with my beautiful grandchildren), friends, entertaining, traveling, beading, music, and theater.
Please convo me with any questions and to introduce yourself. Let's make something special for you or a loved one! Commissions are welcome. I truly hope you enjoyed my shop and will cherish my handmade, wearable art too. Thank you for stopping by and shopping Etsy. I hope you'll visit again real soon.
Best wishes to you,
Catherine Taylor
