Hello and welcome to Kalypso Creations.

As long as I remember, I have always being fascinated by the beauty and history of old things. As a little girl growing up in Greece, I used to love getting into my grandmother's linen chest or playing with my grandfather's old komboloi beads. As a young adult my love of antiques grew even more. It became a quest to study and preserve any old piece of history. And with a degree in Classical Archaeology I was armed and ready to preserve the world! However, a few years later and three young children, my quest has taken a more domestic approach. With the support of friends and family I started creating my own vintage inspired jewelery and knit garments.

I love to study old jewelry pieces and garments and strive to preserve them and most of all recreate them as best as I can. My goal is to be able to bring back to life and preserve the beauty and art of vintage pieces that can be passed down to future generations.

Kalypso Creations has also been an inspiration given by my mother's elegance and beauty. That elegance and beauty has always been reflected through the rarity of her ancient Greek name Kalypso, now passed down to my own daughter Kalypso. Kalypso Creations is a dedication to her eternal spirit, beauty, loving heart, and timeless elegance!

I have been making jewelry for friends and family for as long as I can remember. However, it has been three years since I have designing jewelry professionally. I am very excited to be part of the Etsy family and have now graduated from a buyer (www.etsy.com/people/christinafish) to an ambitious seller!

I hope your journey through time while visiting my shop will offer you something to hold precious for many generations to come!

Many thanks to Carolyn from Glassics6, a fellow Etsy member and shop owner, who was instrumental in the creation of my new shop.

"Carolyn you have been so kind and generous in providing any help and advise possible to make Kalypso Creations a reality. Who would have ever imagined an old lace jacket, falling apart from age, would bring us together and inspire me even more? I will forever be grateful to your kindness!
Thank you!
