About

In 2007, I graduated from Michigan State University’s Honors College with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art, specializing in ceramics and sculpture. The summer after I graduated, I went to Denmark to work as a glaze room and wood kiln assistant at the International Ceramics Research Center. Then I moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, to work as an artist-in-residence at the Worcester Center for Crafts. In the summer of 2009 I became involved with the Harvard Ceramics program, taking advanced classes, maintaining the organization of the glaze studio and helping with wood kiln workshops. In May of 2010 I moved to West Michigan to be closer to my family. I currently teach at the Holland Area Arts Council and live in Grand Rapids where I am actively involved with several community arts associations.
