About

Hi! I'm Kate and I am a forty-something homeschooling mother of two. Throughout the late eighties and nineties, I crafted pottery and stained glass, selling at festivals and craft fairs. The new millenium took my attention and energies elsewhere. For the past few years, however, I have been increasingly drawn to fiber work, especially loom knitting and spinning. But to be honest, you never can tell what I might pull out of my cauldron.

It looks like Kate's Cauldron is becoming a collective! My mad scientist husband, John, will be adding some of his designs to the shop. John has been working on jewelry designs and seems to favor steampunk, tribal and celtic themes. He is also a wonderful writer, origami designer, cartoonist and all around creative dude.
