Hi! I'm Kate.

I am a blissfully married mother of four wonderfully amazing boys, living in rural Michigan where the people are real and the living is simple. . . where the motto is: "a stranger is a friend you haven't met yet"

I am truly a Midwestern gal, living in a white farmhouse cottage on 2/3 acre. I knew this was the right house to buy when I saw the clothesline out back. Silly? Maybe, but it made sense to me. ;)

I am intrigued and delighted by well-worn vintage items, and love to think of the stories they hold of other peoples' lives. I cannot drive past an intriguing yard sale without stopping. Consequently, I own way too much vintage silverplated silverware, linens, rose-adorned china, and chippy-painted doors! I really savor the "perfectly imperfect" things . . . frayed edges, not-perfectly-round pearls, buttons of varying thicknesses . . . anything cottagy, comfortable, cheery, carefree.
*
In my *spare* time, I have fun with my family, pick berries, make soap and jam from scratch, crochet rag rugs, bake yummy goodies, walk through the woods, read, and redecorate my house . . . again, and again, and again . . .

Thanks so much for stopping by my shop! And if you have a moment, check out my other shop, Larkspur & Linen: http://www.LarkspurAndLinen.etsy.com

Sweetly, Kate
