In a stained glass window or a piece of fabric. The inspiration becomes a drawing, a watercolor, or a pen and ink and then it is transferred into a silver design.

I discovered silversmithing at the University of Texas at Austin while studying Advertising. When I heard that there was a jewelry-making class I was drawn to it. I took it and loved it. I have been making jewelry ever since.

For 9 years, I have owned a bead and jewelry store called, Crazy for Beads in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, in which I sold and made all of my designs. I closed it a couple of years ago to pursue jewelry-making and designing full time. I sold all my jewelry designs in my shop, sterling silver as well as semi-precious beaded jewelry.

I love to take walks on the beach with my daughter and search for shells.

Please write me with any questions. I would love to work with you. Thanks again, Kathryn
