Katherine's Profile

About

Hello! My name is Katherine...and I live in a pretty, little college town in northern Indiana. I have been married to my husband, Mike, for twenty years...and we share our home with two little rescued Dachshunds, Mya and Lola.

I have always been a reader...and my eReader is the first thing I toss into my bag before I head out the door. I wanted to protect it with a cover that reflects my own unique interests...not always easy to find in the mass market...and so KatyDidStitches was born. A quick look around my shop will reveal quite a bit about me. Flower gardens, weenie dogs, science, travel and all things British inspire me.

I enjoy discovering shared interests with my customers...creating covers that are useful to them...while allowing them to showcase a bit of their personal style, as well.

My covers are custom-made to fit any eReader on the market. My designs include up-to-the-minute quilting cottons...accented with sturdy oatmeal linen...reinforced with multiple layers of interfacing and fleece and securely fastened with Velcro...for a cover that's nice and sturdy, and yet comfortable to hold.

I cut, sew and finish each cover...one by one...in my smoke-free studio...package it with love and send it on it's way to my customer. This personal connection is the best thing about the handmade community...and I enjoy being a part of it.
