Kathy Dulje's Profile
I believe we will forever have a part of our past living within us. As we mature, see and experience change to the degree that we baby-boomers have seen and done, we seem to have an almost inherent yearning for something from our past. What is it that we yearn for? We can't bring back actual experiences, we can't relive the days with loved ones who have passed on. And so we find ourselves reaching out, extending our hands and hearts to 'stuff.'
Be it an old school lunchbox like the one we carried in second grade or maybe a tacky plastic Christmas ornament that our mother hung and even back then we thought it tacky, possibly you stop by a flea market or yard sale and your eyes light on an old bed sheet that was exactly like the sheets you slept between as a child...these things touch us, they bring back memories...hopefully fond ones...and they are the pieces of our past…
