About

I have been studying pattern making and fashion design in my every spare moment for the last 8 years. I also, more recently, became very interested in the art of manipulating fabric.

After graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Science in Education, I decided to change directions drastically and follow, what I believed at the the time, to be an unrealistic dream. I have been studying pattern making and fashion design in my every spare moment for the last 8 years. I also, more recently, became very interested in the art of manipulating fabric.

My dedication and ambition led me to an internship with Lara Miller, a Chicago based clothing designer. It was then, while studying with Lara, that I realized how much I needed to learn about the "business side" of the fashion industry. I immediately enrolled in business courses, started volunteering at Gen Art organization, and attending fashion business seminars. Soon enough the idea for KeepBags struck me, and after the fist sample, I knew I had something special.

After getting tons of great feedback from friends and family, I started selling to local Chicago boutiques. Soon I realized I could reach my market a lot faster and more efficiently selling online, specifically on Etsy. The rest is history!

Whether I am manipulating fabric into evening bags in my studio or finger painting with my two young children at the kitchen table, creating art is my passion. I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I love!
