I'm Kelli, the owner, and I'm glad you stopped by. Besides being the shop owner, I am the writer, sewer, photographer, dreamer, traveler, doodler, brooder, collector of books & other pretty things. I'm always working on something new, and listing items usually takes me as long as making them! On top of all that, everything from start to finish is done on my boat/home/studio, where I live alongside Mr. Fairytale Nonsense.

My favorite things are ruffles, bows, shirring, patchwork, polka-dots, stripes, floral, geometrics, and anything that sparkles.

I don’t really follow any patterns, except when cutting out pants, and that’s only for the curves. The rest of the time I follow measurements and math and figure it out as I go along. Sometimes the amount of fabric I have determines my pattern. I try not to waste anything and you’ll see me re-use scraps from one dress in a future item. I don’t buy in bulk, usually just enough for the project at hand because space on a boat is at a premium.

When I need inspiration I go fabric shopping or pull out my totes of fabric arranged by color and let the creativity flow. I never know what I'm going to come up with next. Sometimes my OOAK creations are a melting together of other projects and it’s just impossible to re-create. If you like something in my shop but it isn’t the right size, convo me and I’ll check to see if the fabric is available. If you like something and want different fabrics, let me know and I can do a custom listing for you for a dress made using your fabric choices and size measurements. Once payment is made, your dress will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis. It usually takes about a week once you have decided on a style, fabric, purchased the listing, and given me the measurements. See the "Custom Order" section for more info.

"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary." ~Sir Cecil Beaton
