About

A little about me...I'm a member of the Osage Nation who was born in Bartlesville, OK and raised in Kansas City. I'm Cherokee and Irish as well.

I'm a bit of a hermit who stays holed up inside her house creating the next piece of jewelry or found gardening out in the yard. I never run out of projects...it's more a matter of finding the time to create before I forget all the ideas/designs that I have in my head.

I have always loved art, making things with my hands, and getting them dirty. When I was in the second grade, I wanted to be an archaeologist. Today, I still like digging in the dirt. In college I wanted to be a photographer and took every photography class available. My favorite classes were art history, classical mythology and philosophy.

But, it was in my mid-twenties that I first tried my hand at creating jewelry. I had tickets to the ballet, a new dress, and I wanted jewelry to match. After shopping all over Kansas City and not finding anything that was quite right, I ventured into a bead shop and took a class. I didn't create another piece of jewelry for 10 years. Then I took it up again, and within a matter of months, people started asking if I would make jewelry for them and/or start selling my pieces. Some years later, I decided to open my etsy shop.

My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love dressing in costume, wearing elaborate make-up, getting into character, and eating candy. Another thing I would love to do/be is a movie make-up artist.

And, for all of my life I have been and will forever be an animal lover. Some of the best characters I know are animals and the people that love them!
