My Happy House Playhouses started when my now adult sons were little and wanted a playhouse. Because we were a military family, our frequent moves prevented building any sort of permanent playhouse structure, so, thanks to my love of fabric, and discovery of PVC pipe, thus began my love affair with creating playhouses.

My playhouses have evolved over the years from a pretty basic fabric cover with open window and door square cutouts to the present continually changing additions of doorbells, screens, mailboxes, etc. Along the way, two very rough little boys did the quality control testing, and the result is a very sturdy, almost "kid-proof" creation.

I think I have as much fun coming up with ideas and colors as the kids who receive them have playing in them (I have seen a parent or two inside them too)…

Some have been handed down from children to grandchildren, which is even more rewarding for me to hear about.
