Kimber M.'s Profile

About

My work is inspired by the beauty and details found in my day-to-day surroundings. Growing up by the ocean and on a horse farm meant most of my time was spent outdoors. I would sit for hours under my grandmother's magnolia tree creating small treasures from pine needles and berries. A day at the beach meant gathering shells and such for later use. It's at this young age that my love of nature, art and craft merged. I dappled in many forms of art along the way, but it wasn't until my first metalsmithing class in college that I found my material of choice. Nowadays, I do the same thing I did as a kid, I've just found a way to make my work more permanent and lasting.
