About

I began creating jewelry in 2002 as a distraction while trying to get pregnant with my first child (she's now 13!). I soon fell in love with the unique characteristics of borosilicate lampwork glass. Lampwork glass is created by manipulating molten glass over a flame and shaping it into delicate beads. Boro glass is a hard composite that contains at least 5% boric oxide. This oxide is what allows the glass to resist extreme temperatures. Each bead is handmade by talented artists and kiln annealed for durability. Borosilicate beads have a shine and color that I haven't seen in other types of glass beads.

I also incorporate Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, sliver plate, and semi-precious gemstones. I particularly like adding elements that add movement and jingle, such as floating jump rings and charms.
