Kathy Catlin's Profile
My studio is located in our 1869 barn. It has a wonderful view of the vegetable garden and hay fields. Two of the barn rooms make up my studio space. I fire to cone 10- which is 2345 degrees- in an electric kiln and a gas kiln. We now have solar power to the studio, the house is already solar powered.
I adopted a used gas kiln and named her Lucille! The gas kiln allows me to achieve a more earthy, rustic look to the pottery, which I love. Living on a farm and creating pottery is a true dream come true for me- and always an adventure (check out the blog www.kingscreekpottery.com for more details)!
Kings Creek Pottery was the perfect alternative to my day job as a high school social worker. Now that I am retired I have even more time to enjoy in the studio.
