Darcy Elora Hofer's Profile
I love to bake, I’m ok at cooking, and I enjoy all things kitchen. Sometimes I try to grow my own food and when my feeble attempts don’t pan out I frequent the amazing neighborhood farmer’s markets throughout Chicago (especially the Green City Market). I hang my laundry to dry in the dining room (which my roommate loves), make my own laundry soap and am currently exploring other homemade cleaning solutions. In general, I make an attempt to lower my footprint in this urban landscape. I also sew occasionally. (And by occasionally I mean all the time.) I am a full-time stitcher in the Costume Shop at the Theatre and Interpretation Center at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and also a freelance costume designer throughout the Chicagoland area. I received my degree in Theatre from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI and a degree in Fashion from the International Academy of Design and Technology in downtown Chicago.
