I'm always inspired by the unexpected. When you see a droplet of water, what do you think of? Perhaps your mind immediately goes to how you hope it won't rain today, or maybe you just begin to feel thirsty. But what you probably don't immediately see is the perfect interplay of light reflecting off the droplet into a starburst of brilliant color. If you see a pencil or a paperclip, you probably don't think of beautiful artwork, but rather of paperwork, or maybe school.
I see the unexpected all around me, and that's what I try to accomplish with my artwork. You see, you don't have to go to an art gallery, or the top of a spectacular vista to see beauty. It most likely is sitting right next to you - in plain sight. If my artwork can help you begin to look at ordinary things and see them in extraordinary ways, then I will have accomplished my greatest goal.
