Hello! I started working with glass in 2002 and have been hooked ever since. I feel as if I have tried it all! I am now doing more public art and larger kiln casting pieces so I need to start cleaning out the studio and passing along my unused glass to others!!
As you know style comes and goes with each new decade. I however have become committed (read - addicted) to the clean lines of architecture from the 1950s and 1960s. I admire and collect vintage clothes, ceramics, glass and furniture. In my own work I like to combine mid-century modernism and simplicity with the modernism of today.
I can help with any challenge you may be having firing glass and have worked in glass making jewelry, housewares, mobiles, tiles and more. I thought it would be more helpful if you could buy smaller lots of glass and frit so that you can play with it to see how the glass and colors combine! I really wish that someone had offered this option when I was first starting out or even when I have a new project. If there is some color combination you would like to see let me know!!
