Kyriaki Karalis' Profile

About

My work is about line and form, function and whimsy. I choose to make functional pottery with soft, elegant patterns that stem from math, language, and nature. I believe that using handmade objects can bring a newness, a specialness, to every day rituals such as drinking your morning coffee.

For the fellow pottery peeps: I fire my pots to cone 6 in an electric kiln and use a variety of stains and glazes to finish them. I also enjoy salt, soda, and wood firing as well as building kilns.
