Patrick Lyddy's Profile

About

I am a young man with a hook, needle and a plan. I have been knitting for a little more than a decade and in the past year have picked up crochet. After learning the basics, I have grown to be able to design my own patterns and even my own stitches. My work is top notch and I usually make one for myself first to show off.

I use mostly acrylics in my work both for versatility and strength. I have worked with other fibers but I have to say that acrylic washes well, can be worn for a very long time, and can even be thrown in the dryer! Though I have been told that wool is warmer, I must say that there are a variety of acrylics and acrylic blend yarns out there and I've made some REALLY warm stuff!
