We have acquired extensive work and life experience in different African countries ranging from the North-Africa and Maghreb to the Southern part of Africa. To look at our resources of this beautiful earth in a new light and to create eco-conscious but stunning products is our objective.

I try to empower and work with young local African designers and artists. Most of the products I offer are completely handmade and rooted in African crafts traditions. It is my desire to bring to you some of the most beautiful products and designs representing the charm of Africa. All my products are created in my own design studio. I re-use, re-cycle, re-work waste materials that can be incorporated into my designs.
My vision for the future is to create and sustain work for talented women and men in Africa.
I am dedicated to follow a new path in sustainable Eco- design.

Colors, strong design and form and the fusion of the unexpected that is what Chocolat Negro stands for.

I love life and since life has given us such abundance I don't like to throw things away but rather give them a second life.
I like to recycle items and to create new edgy urban design products from discarded materials.

With some of our sales we support the ETHEMBENI OLD AGE HOME in Mdantsane which is the second biggest township in South-Africa after Soweto.
If you are interested in this project please have a look at the following blog where I am introducing a coffee table book about Mdantsane that I have written.
