I am primarily a printmaker; originally from the North Shore of Long Island, New York. I acquire most of my inspiration for my woodcuts from the harbors of Long Island Sound, views of the Hudson River and rural New York. In addition to working in various areas of the print medium, I create drawings,collages and sculpture. I also enjoy taking photographs. The work that I create outside of printmaking often reflects my inner consciousness and abstract thought. It is part of my goal as an artist to produce work that engages and communicates with the viewer in an intimate, curious and direct way.

I hold a B.F.A. in Visual Art from Purchase College and an M.A. in Art Education from Brooklyn College . I live and work in Schoharie County New York with my husband sculptor Michael Wells (www.wellsculpt.com) and our daughter…
