Erin Wallace's Profile

About

Once upon a time, I was a pediatrician in a small town. Now I'm not. I grew up around antiques with an antique dealer mom. I taught myself to knit sometime in 2001 and have been obsessed ever since. You should know that I have a thing for sock yarn - I LOVE it, but I rarely recycle it. I dream of owning a yarn shop with comfy chairs, a fireplace, coffee and cupcakes, and a cat. Now, I take apart sweaters and sell the yarn so that I can stay at home with my family and pretend that my stores of yarn are actually the shelves of my cozy store.

I hunt antiques, too. My mom was an antique dealer so I learned the trade from her. My philosophy has always been "why buy new when you can buy and antique?" I love to hunt down treasures for my customers and especially love Mid century modern and anything that is sort of cottagey or kitchy.
