Let's start with the bottom line ... I'm a jewelry and accessories designer - heart centered, spirit driven; WYSIWYG and then some - and how I got to there is a curious thing ...

I'm a southern girl heavily influenced by the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, who loves to wear avant-garde clothing from Germany with little old man shoes from Italy, that will sit for hours fueled by pots of exquisitely fragrant Earl Grey tea, perusing books on jewelry and ornament from Africa, the Middle Ages and the runways of Paris Haute Couture. Throw into the mix my fundamentalist grandfather who frightened me as a child, but turns out to have instilled within me a deep spiritual reverence.

So, it kind of makes sense that in my jewelry I love combining potentially disparate elements ... fossilized bone with faceted gemstones, base metals with fine silver, silk and linen with leather. I've somehow managed to assimilate a crazy mix of influences and interests into the distinctive jewelry shown here ... a style that I've dubbed Urban Primitive.

We’ve lived all over the country and recently moved back to our home state of Florida, bought a mid-century concrete block house and are digging in for the long haul ... we're home!

L I G A - what is it?
Many of my new pieces have a blessing written on fabric or ribbon that is lashed to the cord or chain with waxed linen. That blessing is, "love, infinite grace, abundance". My intention is that you always know that your are surrounded by love, infinite grace and abundance ... spirit infused ornament . . . l i g a!
