About

Hi. My name is Kirsten. I'm just a girl who likes to knit and I'm having such a good time selling my creations on Etsy and making custom orders for all kinds of people!

My friend Jay, who creates handmade clothing and hand spun yarn for Jennifer Joy Creative (listed under my favorites), taught me how to knit a few years ago. I really dove in head first and can't get enough of it.

While I started with and still use many soft and warm acrylic/blended yarns, I'm now really getting into all of the different wools that are out there. I even recently dyed my own wool for the first time! (Again, with the help of the lovely and talented Jay).

About

Also, I recently acquired some incredible vintage/antique buttons that belonged to my great-grandmother and grandmother, so you'll see those adorning my scarflettes and other items.

I'm more than happy to take custom orders, so if you see something you like but want different colors (or vice versa) just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate you!

I also recently started a blog that will include photos and explanations of the wool-dyeing process, projects I'm working on and more! You can find it at: www.monkitaknits.blogspot.com

I'm happy to discuss returns if something doesn't fit quite right. I'd prefer to do it for store credit, but I'm pretty flexible. Let's talk!

Have a great day and thanks for visiting my shop!
