Laineybean's Profile

About

Welcome to Laineybean! One of a kind whimsical collections of vintage and handcrafted pieces I have a passion for: upcycled vintage, whimsical and handmade with a bit of humor and a touch of sparkle.

I've been self-employed as a professional artisan, fine craftswoman and actress since 1993. Originally from the east coast, I migrated to Calif. with Hollywood aspirations. Went to college at SDSU and studied Theatre then moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. I've appeared in many national commercials, soaps and episodic tv shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Doogie Howser MD, and others. I live in the Los Angeles area, make all my items from "scratch", or curate rare fun collectibles from the past.

I've appeared in many national commercials, soaps and episodic tv shows such as Beverly Hills 90210, Doogie Howser MD, and others. I live in the Los Angeles area, make all my items from "scratch", or curate rare fun collectibles from the past.

I rediscovered my creative path by doing a workbook called "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron in the early 1990s. It's full of tasks and exercises to do to unblock creative pathways and stir up the stuff that used to give you joy that you may or may not make time for now that you're a grown up. It worked some magic in my life back then, and lots of meaningful coincidences lead me to create and start The Magic Bean Company at my kitchen table, selling to boutiques, museum stores, fine craft galleries and now here thru my virtual shop on Etsy. Thanks for taking a peek!
