Lala B. Unique Koa Earrings' Profile
Lala B. Unique Koa Earrings are made with remnant pieces of wood. A new design starts by sketching an image on paper. The inspiration for most of my designs come from nature (leaves, feathers, flowers). Next the design gets laser cut, sanded and sprayed with a clear finish. Once the finish dries the wood pieces are ready to be made into earrings. I'll match them up with different beads or chains. I like to use as much of the wood as I can. So some of my earrings are actually the inside piece to another design.
The idea to make Koa wood earrings came from wanting to utilize remnant pieces of wood from my husband's instrument building business/shop(www.koolauukulele.com, check them out =)) I also wanted to be able to work from home so I could be with my two kids and be an accessible mom.
