Cherie's Profile

About

It's always interesting to me how one ends up doing what she/he does. It's never a straight path - rather, there is a series of twists and turns that one never imagines taking at the beginning.

Majoring in Art and Design in college, there were many drawing, color and design courses stimulating creativity - - and several drafting courses stressing precision and discipline. After college I found myself with a job coordinating the production of custom brochures and calendars from inception through the delivered product. Photography, copywriting, design choices and decisions, and 2 AM press run oks provided variety and experience.

Personally, as my family grew and the budget was tight I would buy inexpensive jewelry and then take it apart and fiddle with it. My kids would shake their heads and advise me to "Just make your own jewelry, mom"…

So here I am - I have cupboards full of beautiful beads, leather, chains, etc... but am always open to looking for that perfect piece to complete a custom order for you. I have inventory as well but most are just singles - you're unlikely to see it on someone else!

I spend a great deal of time ensuring quality and accuracy (there's that drafting class!). And when I drop the envelope to you into the mailbox there's always trepidation. Will it be everything you expected?

Jewelry for work, celebration or play - I get an incredible sense of fulfillment when I think about you wearing something from my shop. Your choice of a piece I fashioned is incredibly flattering.

To me, it means I've created happiness for you - - if even for an hour. That's a great feeling!
