At a very early age, sitting by my Grandmother’s knee, I made my first sewing project. It was an 18 x 18 inch patchwork doll quilt, tied with yarn. I am forever drawn to the littlest details of thrift store garments…delicate pintucks in a voile blouse, extraordinarily unique buttons on a jacket, an amazing pattern knitted into a sweater. Of course, those garments almost always find a new home in my stash of treasures.

Today, from my home studio in Carmel, Indiana, I create with fabric, yarn, lace, beads, buttons and other things which happen to catch my eye. One day a project might be whimsical, another day my collection of things might lend a more Victorian feel. Then, there are the days when I just feel crazy and go bold with something wildly contemporary. I never know what a day will bring and to me, that is the beauty of creativity.

Thanks for stopping by. Please stay awhile. I hope you find something which brings a smile!
