L A Watson's Profile
L.A. Watson became a juried member of the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and the Kentucky Craft Marketing Program for her lamp worked glass jewelry at the early age of twenty. She opened Lexington, Kentucky’s first hot glass studio, and later decided to expand her art making practice into painting and photography. Inspired by feminism, animal rights and other social justice movements, L.A. decided to finish her B.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Kentucky. She has since moved to her family farm, Elk Hill in Frankfort, Kentucky where she lives and works in an 18th century stone house she and her husband have restored.
