Susan Scott and Richard Hopkins' Profile

About

Palouse Creek Pottery is nestled in the coastal range of Southern Oregon.
Our stoneware pottery is food, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe and is fired to Cone 10, 2345 degrees F. We fire our kiln with scrap wood from our neighbors portable mill, tree branches off our seven acre wood, and drift wood off the beaches near by. So...wood salt fired pottery. I, Susan have a BFA from the University of Oregon and a MAA from Monash University in Gippsland Australia. We moved to Australia for a year so I could study with Owen Rye. My husband, Richard, has a BFA from the University of Oregon where we first met. While I studied in Australia he worked at a pottery near by. It was an amazing experience and we both learned so much. Hope you enjoy our work. Thanks
