About

Hi - I'm originally from Southern California where I grew up during the 50's and 60's -way before 50's style was ever called 'retro'! I don't remember a time when I didn't love yarn and fabric. My mom taught me to knit when I was eight and I was hooked. I think my skills have improved a lot since then!

She also taught me to embroider and it wasn't long before I used my new needle skills to hand stitch doll clothes. But my love of fabric developed when I took seventh grade home economics and learned to use a sewing machine. My first project? A sundress made from white pique fabric with neon colored flowers (it was the 60's and everything was neon!) Plus it was a real bonus that my mom would always buy me a cute pair of shoes to go with every new outfit I made!!

Now I live in Texas and as the saying goes, I wasn't born in Texas but I got here as soon as I could! Moving to Texas made it possible for me to retire early and get back to what I love to do best.

So now I get to sew every day in a place I love. Who could ask for more?

I really try to keep a variety of items listed and always love to hear suggestions.

Don't hesitate to convo me if you need a special size adjustment or fabric selection. I'm always up to the challenge!
