About

Welcome and thank you for visiting my Etsy shop and taking a few minutes to browse.

I consider myself incredibly lucky to have lived on four continents and travelled widely. The experiences this has offered me have shaped my interests and help me gather my inspiration from many places.

Colour, texture and combinations of textures and colours are something I try to incorporate into my pieces: matt and shiny; crackled and smooth; metal, stone and wood...I love design and the many places and styles that it can be inspired by, from tribal pieces or Romanesque to Surreal or Renaissance.

My creations are made in my studio which is a rather jumbly room, deliciously filled with myriad boxes and jars of multi-coloured stones, sustainable wood and horn beads, art books and family photos…

My creations are made in my studio which is a rather jumbly room, deliciously filled with myriad boxes and jars of multi-coloured stones, sustainable wood and horn beads, art books and family photos.

Pieces I am experimenting with or those which are in the process of being made cover one table. I hope to expand my shop in the near future with other items such as hair clips and key rings and also small pieces for the home such as key decorations....so keep popping in to see what's new!

A degree in graphic design has helped my approach to jewellery making and I tend to strive for an asymmetrical yet balanced design for my pieces when possible. I try not to follow fashion trends and enjoy creating designs that are classic yet modern at the same time but ultimately wearable for years.

I find inspiration in not only the obvious places such as Nature, but also in less obvious places such as museums or even in a bunch of keys, the dots and dashes of Morse code, the stones and shells on a beach or the colours of a dress in a shop window.

Now settled in Madrid, I source materials from abroad to give my pieces a different and original look. I buy materials not solely at jewellery supply shops and from websites but hardware shops and ships' chandlers too.

Versatility is something I appreciate and where possible I try to incorporate it into my designs so that a necklace can be worn in different ways creating a more or less casual look; perfect when travelling!

Postage is by registered mail and all pieces are sent in pretty organza bags.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
