Personal Info:
I love to create. I always have, as a kid that was what “playing” was all about. Whether it was homemade paper dolls, with 3-D paper furniture, or makeshift bow and arrows from the weeping willow branches hanging over the fence. Whenever my sisters and I would play with dolls it always turned into a creative mess of making things for them, that was more entertaining then anything else. Things haven't changed much. I still like to play at making things. So does my sister, check out her Etsy site @ evieivyoverstreet.etsy.com, she makes absolutely adorable stuff! Mine is mostly channeled into drawing and painting, but I love sculpture and jewelry and bookbinding and some of that may pop up on my site as well in the future. I tried to major in something "serious and marketable" in college, but ended up with more art credits than anything else by a landslide, with only halfhearted efforts to pursue other alternatives. I couldn't escape it, for me creativity is a cosmic force stronger than gravity. I cannot function without it in some form. So I have a BA in visual art, and I still get to play doing what I love to do. ....and stay home with my kids! I'm so lucky!

More about my Art:
I am very aware that I have more variety in my art than is thought fondly of in the art world. I like lots of different mediums. They each have a different feel to them, and lots of different advantages and disadvantages. I should probably focus more on one medium to further entrench, 'er I mean develop my style. But I can't seem to give any one of them up. So... It makes for a rather more eclectic than cohesive shop, but I like variety, what can I say?
